EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ANDREA SCOFIELD'S RETIREMENT

Andrea Scofield has notified the Board of Directors of her desire to retire from Camp Lutherwood Oregon after 26 total years of service. We are so grateful for the myriad ways Andrea has shaped and led Camp Lutherwood Oregon. Her influence has been incredible and her work leading Lutherwood through challenging times has been inspirational. She will be missed!

Her intended retirement timeline is the end of 2024, pending the search and transition needs for the next Executive Director. Plans to celebrate her work and legacy are underway and more details will follow in the coming months.

The Camp Lutherwood Oregon Board of Directors has engaged GSB Fundraising, to lead a national search for our next executive. GSB is a national consulting organization, with over 47 years of experience leading executive searches for non-profits, large and small across the country. To begin this process, GSB will conduct sourcing interviews with leaders and candidates throughout the US.

Camp Lutherwood Oregon has also appointed a search committee comprised of:

  • John Andrea (Board member and former Board President)
  • Katie Bode (Former summer & year-round staff at Lutherwood and current Board member)
  • Kristy Haines (Former program director for LCMS camps in the Midwest)
  • Pr. Charles Mantey (Retired Pastor; Saint Mark Lutheran, Salem, Oregon)
  • Charlotte Trent (Former summer & year-round staff at Lutherwood)
  • Thor Waage (Board member)
